Chelsea players involved in 'pathetic' penalty spat despite already being 4-0 ahead

The Chelsea players were involved in a bizarre argument.

Chelsea stars were involved in a “pathetic” argument over a penalty despite the fact that they were already 4-0 up against Everton.

Chelsea thrashed Everton on Monday night, with Cole Palmer running the show.

The 21-year-old completed a 16-minute hat-trick in the first half, producing yet another stunning performance.

Nicolas Jackson added a fourth before half-time, and Chelsea were handed the chance to make it five from the penalty spot when Palmer was fouled just after the hour mark.

Yet despite already cruising to victory, things turned spicy.

Noni Madueke stood over the penalty spot holding the ball, until captain Conor Gallagher walked over and told him to give the ball to Palmer.

Jackson then came charging in and demanded Madueke take the penalty, with Palmer pushing him away.

Palmer ended converting the spot-kick for his fourth goal of the night.

On X, one fan commented: “Grow up Jackson and Madueke, pathetic.”
