Top247 LB Mason Posa continues busy run of spring visits

Mason Posa has been busy this spring. The Top247 linebacker from Albuquerque (NM) La Cueva won another state title in wrestling before getting his spring visits underway. Posa has been in demand since emerging out of the Land of Enchantment. While New Mexico isn’t known as a state plentiful in high-end football talent, Posa holds offers from schools across the nation.

At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Posa is ranked as the No. 17 linebacker in the nation and No. 1 overall prospect in New Mexico, according to 247Sports. In the last month, Posa has been on visits to programs like USC, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Baylor. Wrestling delayed his spring visits more than other players in the class, so he’s just starting to ramp u up his trips to see schools.

Posa just returned home from a trip to USC after visiting Oklahoma State on his first official visit. Posa said that USC was a good trip, and he loved seeing their campus.
